الأولي جائزة CISCO SYSTEMS TECHNOPRENEURSHIP والتي تتضمن الإشراف على المشروع ودعمه من نظام CISCO  وهذا شرف عظيم أن يحصل المشروع علي مثل هذا الدعم لتطوير المشروع بشكل أسرع والاجتماع الأوول مع تلك المنظمة سيكون في خريف هذا العام في فيينا .
والثانية هي جائزة Alumni Leadership ليونس بودشتانو لتمثيله السلوك القدوة فهو لديه الكثير من المهارات كالعمل الجماعي و قام بتمثيل روح المسابقة الحقيقية .

VisionBot was presented at the European Enterprise Challenge 2015 organized by the Junior Achievement Europe.  We had presented our solution, VisionBot  at the contest and received two awards:

  • CISCO SYSTEMS TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AWARD which consists in mentoring and accelerating our startup, VisionBot by CISCO SYSTEMS. It is a great privillage for us to receive a such important know-how, expertise and support from Cisco Systems for developing VisionBot faster. The first meeting with Cisco Systems will take place in Vienna this autumn.
  • The Alumni Leadership Award to Alexandru Ionut Budisteanu for standing out as an individual showing role model behavior, possessing skills, team solidarity and real JA alumni spirit at the JA Europe  Enterprise Challenge.

 

Got accepted into 25K euro EU funding program for VisionBot

Today, we received a great news that VisionBot and our company BIT TECHNOLOGIES RO got accepted into a European Union EU funding program for young entrepreneurs which is promoting the entrepreneurial culture in South-West Oltenia and Bucharest – Ilfov.  The company will use the funding seed of 25,000 euro in order to manufacture the first 10 units of VisionBot machines and to employ the first mechanical technicians.  The startup got accepted first in the funding program, and we hope that this will be the startup a very fruitful journey.  It is a great news for us, because we will be able to deliver our product, VisionBot faster and better. We want to thank you very much for the interest shown and we hope that we will do a great execution with VisionBot.

Also today we received an inquiry from a young entrepreneur just like us, that our website had a small glitch with the registration form. Hopefully we solved that problem and we are looking to receive our first questions on the forum.

Today we decided to write a very short blog post about the progress we did with VisionBot. We did a nice chart which illustrates a large part of our great achievements we had done in the past 7-8 months with VisionBot. At the beginning of July’15 we will attend the JA Europe Enterprise Challenge 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal. Over there we will present the company and our first product VisionBot SMT Placement Equipment. We are very sure it will gonna be a very fun experience presenting a hardware product in Lisbon. We decided to ship VisionBot there for the exhibition day. We don’t know how, but we gonna find a solution for that.

Ich habe deutlich ein grosser Fortschritt in der Entwicklung der ersten Prototypen VisionBot SMD-Bestückung gemacht . Ich habe auch den ersten voll funktionsfähigen Test der Montage einer ganzen Leiterplatte mit Vision Box SMD-Bestückung. Ich entwarf und erneuert die Hauptplatine des Vision Bot Mikrocontrollers. Jetzt ist es kleiner und intelligenter.

Ich glaube, dass in höchstens zwei Monaten werde ich fertig mit dem ersten Werbevideo von meinem Start-Up sein. Kurz danach werde ich es veröffentlichen.

Ich habe mehrere Firmware Fehlerkorrekturcode vollführt. Eine davon war, dass auf einer Achse der Maschine x-1 Schritte machte. Jedes Mal hat sie einen Schritt unerfüllt. Um zu verstehen, ob es richtig funktioniert, nahm ich einen Test der Bewegung tausende von Schritten auf verschiedenen Achsen vor. Am Ende wurde ich in die 0.0.0.0 Position zurückgekehrt. Durch diese Überprüfungsmethode , konnte ich aufgliedern, ob die Maschine irgendeinen Schritt verloren hat.

In den letzten Entwicklungen, um die Maschine zu verbessern, habe ich auch 7 Feeders je mit 5000 oberflächenmontierte Bauelemente eingeführt. Sie können die Feeders in den Bilder zu diesem Blog-Post anschauen. Ich kaufte mir die 35.000 Widerstände von Ebay für fast 100$.

Ich habe auch gearbeitet, die Suchmaschinenoptimierung-SEO für meinen Blog und auch für VisionBot offizielle Webseite zu verbessern. Gerade jetzt, ich suche noch ein paar Freiwillige , die VisionBot Startseite in Chinesisch, Spanisch, Arabisch, Deutsch, Russisch, Französisch und Japanisch zu übersetzen. Im nächsten Blog-Post werde ich Ihnen über die Verbesserungen an den Computer Vision Software informieren.

Got 10,000 euro seed money from Hyundai Romania

Our company, BIT TECHNOLOGIES RO got a 10,000 euro seed money from Hyundai Romania for VisionBot SMT Placement Equipment . We received the fund at the Junior Achievement Romania’s national contest “Company of the Year”, where the founder, Alexandru Ionut Budisteanu  presented VisionBot. For us, it is a really great achievement because we received some funds to continue our goal to enable the dreams of millions of makers, electrical engineers and SMEs to transform electronic prototypes into products. At that contest, we got also the great honor to present our company in Lisbon, Portugal at the European stage of the “Company of the Year”.[:]

VisionBot is delighted to be the recipient of the Impact Hub’s Social Impact Award – SIA 2015. For us, VisionBot is not just a business, it is an affordable assembly line for PCBs designed for makers, electrical engineers, hardware startups, hackers, inventors and SMEs. Our mission is to bring VisionBot Pick and Place Robots to everyone’s garage – and by this to enable markers to start a PCBA medium production very soon, easy and efficient. From the the Social Impact Award 2015 judges panel, we got a lot of really productive feedback and know-how to develop VisionBot furthermore. The biggest first two milestones for VisionBot and BIT TECHNOLOGIES RO are

  • Finishing a fully functional prototype of VisionBot
  • Start a small VisionBot assembly production in Romania.

All this award money will be invested in VisionBot because we really want to achieve these two really important milestones for us.[:]

Today, we have published officially our first VisionBot SMT Placement Equipment Video. It was uploaded on Youtube and you can access it by pressing the play button. The Video is not professional and it only shows a test done by me.

The video shows a little bit about the VisionBot Main Software.

In the next video we will show how the machine works directly with the Gerber Files. In the mean tile VisionBot got qualified in the Romanian Bizz Factory incubator.

I did significantly progress developing the first prototype of the VisionBot SMT Pick and Place robot. I also did the first fully functional test to assembly an entire Printed Circuit Board using VisionBot SMT Pick and Place robot. I redesigned and remade the main PCB of the VisionBot microcontroller into a smaller one. I believe in maximum two months I will finish and publish the first promotional video about my startup. I fixed many firmware bugs, one of them was that on one axis the machine was making x-1 steps. So each time it was forgetting one step. To understand that it works properly, I tested moving thousands of steps on different axis and in the end I was returning to the 0,0,0,0 position. Through this verification method, I was able to understand if the machine loses any step.

In the last developments to improve the machine, I also introduced 7 feeders with 5,000 Surface Mount Devices each. You can see the feeders in the pictures attached to this blog post. I bought te 35,000 resistances from E-bay for nearly $100.

Besides working at the machine itself, I also worked to improve the Search Engine Optimization – SEO for my blog but also for VisionBot official web page. Right now, I am looking to find a few volunteers who would like to translate VisionBot home page into Chinese,  Spanish, Arabic, German, Russian, French and Japanese. In the next blog post I will talk about the improvements I did to the Computer Vision Software.

The creator of VisionBot, Alexandru Ionut Budisteanu presented the concept of the machine and the business plan at the Hult International Business School in San Francisco. It was a prolific and interesting event where he met a lot of young entrepreneurs like him but also electrical engineers who were studying business to  create their own company. The event hosted at the Hult Business School was more like a small showcase with new tech companies. Unfortunately, it was hard for him to bring to robot from Romania only for the showcase.
